"WAR" CZAR? HOW ABOUT WARLORD? |
Seems like not just 2 or 3 anymore, but now 7 or 10 or more US Soldiers are killed every day, and you can apply the same increase to the people that live in Iraq. The government is trying to blame Iran, Syria, anybody that's over THERE for aiding the people we're over there fighting, I'm not sure any more what to call them even. Al-Quida I guess? Women and children of the cause? People?
It's certainly kept any terrorist attacks from happening in OUR country, discounting of course school massacres and shopping mall shootouts. So the war on terror is winning -- longer lines at airports, increased security in our country's capital to ensure some really third-rate display in some building doesn't buy the farm. I couldn't go in to see it (actually I wanted to use their restroom) because it was finally determined that along with my two artificial hips and steel bar supporting my right wrist, I had a belt buckle. I wasn't about to drop my pants for these goons!
3 is a good number. The way the news paints the picture, our new war czar is ONLY (snicker) a 3-star general. Seems like none of the 4-star generals available want the job. Hey, he'll be dealing with "4-stars" and other people much more important and influential than he is, so how bad can it be? If he screws up, then it is only to be expected, and no big loss. The drug czar has certainly wiped the drug problem off the map.
So what's next? How about a czar of defense, or a czar of the house? Since the House of Representatives is mainly made up of two political parties, I only have to stretch it a little bit and call him
Bi-czar. Which, over time, becomes just plain bizarre.
